Superpedestrian is seeking a Community Engagement & Marketing Lead (Baltimore and the Eastern United States) to own local partnership strategy and community engagement initiatives in Baltimore and the Eastern United States. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our growing micromobility operations in the region and is deeply committed to community engagement and to expanding access to new and sustainable transportation options.

The Community Engagement & Marketing Lead will be responsible for executing a local stakeholder outreach program in close collaboration with the regional operations, policy, and marketing managers. This will include building out in-market community initiatives including: local business/nonprofit/campus partnerships, field marketing events, safe riding activities, and more. The Community Engagement & Marketing Lead will also serve as the primary liaison between members of the community and Superpedestrian and will be responsible for relaying feedback to improve Superpedestrian’s community oriented service. 

What you'll do:

    • The Community Engagement & Marketing Lead will be responsible for executing a local stakeholder outreach program in close collaboration with the regional operations, policy, and marketing managers.
    • This will include building out in-market community initiatives including: local business/nonprofit/campus partnerships, field marketing events, safe riding activities, and more.
    • The Community Engagement & Marketing Lead will also serve as the primary liaison between members of the community and Superpedestrian and will be responsible for relaying feedback to improve Superpedestrian’s community oriented service. 

What you'll bring:

    • 2-3 years in community engagement, outreach, event planning, grassroots organizing, campaigning, or field marketing roles. 
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills - ability to build relationships and turn difficult conversations into productive solutions.
    •  Experience communicating conscientiously with diverse partners and community members is a must.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting to groups and via email. 
    • Multilingual candidates are preferred but not required. (I want to leave it open as candidates fluent in other languages will be beneficial in the region.)
    • Regional travel (up to 50%) is required.
