Content Editor

Who we are

Our mission at Sourcegraph is to make it so that everyone can code, not just ~0.1% of the population. We help developers and companies with billions of lines of code create the software you use every day. In enabling more people to code, we believe we will create economic opportunity across the world and will drive progress that benefits everyone.

It’s an exciting time to join Sourcegraph. Our company is growing rapidly: we’ve experienced 4x year-over-year revenue growth with zero customer churn, and our $50M Series C from Sequoia has given us the opportunity to make big ambitious bets on our future. We have a huge market (every company that builds software) and massive opportunity (most developers haven't even heard of code search yet, but once you've used it, you can't live without it--just like Google web search). By continuing to hire exceptional people, we have the opportunity to make Sourcegraph one of the biggest technology companies in the world.

Why this job is exciting

At Sourcegraph, we believe in the power of content to drive meaningful interactions and experiences with our audiences and users. We’ve committed to a content strategy that puts our audience first, and we seek to create high-quality, meaningful content that inspires and advocates for better developer experiences. If you’ve always wanted to be part of bringing a branded editorial blog to life then this is the place for you!

As a Content Editor, you will help bring our branded blog vision to life and shape the stories we tell. You will think like a publisher to shape and create compelling stories, guides, and resources. You will be an advocate for the developer in everyone and craft narratives that empathize with the developer experience, and play a key role in furthering our mission to make it so that everyone can code.

As a foundational content team member, you will be deeply involved in building our content operations and production processes. As part of the content marketing team, you will participate in planning and executing quarterly content pillars, interview subject matter experts to help them bring their stories to life, and will be responsible for ensuring content meets our quality and brand standards.
