We're hiring an Experimentation & Optimization Specialist to collaborate with our media buying and development teams to deliver the best possible experience for consumers navigating our advertising funnels. Experimentation at System1 provides the opportunity for relentless innovation, all directed towards increasing margins and improving user experience in an extremely dynamic and competitive industry.

You will need to see the big picture and the small details at the same time. You will understand the broad needs of the business, scan the competitive environment, spot trends and technical developments, and update the research and product roadmap as needed. Data will drive every test and experiment design, and your goal will be continuous improvement of consumer funnels. You'll partner with analytics, media buying and development teams to ensure changes are effectively communicated and adopted across teams.

This role is available remotely in the U.S. and Canada.

The Role You Will Have:

    • Identify beautiful UX/UI strategies in the wild, and use those inspirations to develop unique and effective user experiences across channels
    • Perform rigorous testing of hypotheses and design experiments at scale using all available data
    • Collaborate with our UX/UI team to define KPIs for projects and evaluate the success of experiments, and work with media buyers and engineering to address challenges or obstacles in real time
    • Own experimental design for all stages of the user journey and advertising funnel, across sites and channels
    • Evaluate processes and methodologies for continuous improvement, and take a proactive approach to introducing new tools or strategies to level up optimization capabilities

What You Will Bring:

    • Experience as a Media Buyer, PPC Specialist, Ad Optimization Specialist or similar transferrable experience
    • Experience working with profit-driven KPIs like ROAS, CPC, CPA, and quality score
    • Experience using data and testing methodologies to drive optimization (A/B, MVT, etc.)
    • Ability to use Excel for manipulating and interpreting large data sets on a daily basis - knowledge of SQL and pulling large data queries is a plus
    • Proactive communication style, using appropriate methods to increase collaboration
    • Ability to work independently and autonomously to direct your own experimentation efforts based on available data and resources
    • Able to work with internal programmers, analysts, consultants, non-technical business resources and external vendor resources
    • Relentless curiosity and an urge to innovate, measure and improve
