Director, Growth Marketing - North America Mid Market

This position will be building a new team from the ground up to accelerate our acquisition of new customers in the mid market. This role is intended to be a leader, as well as a creative practitioner in demand generation. The role requires close collaboration with team members across sales, product, design, and web engineering to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience for our audience of developers, IT leaders, and startup founders.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure that we meet or exceed annual marketing targets in North America
  • Hire, train, and mentor a team of results-focused marketers focused on high-leverage inbound and digital demand generation tactics
  • Define a vision, mission, and charter for your function that inspires trust and collaboration across team members and the teams that they collaborate with
  • Ensure efficiency and scale by building reusable digital campaign components
  • Define and document the processes and standards for growth marketing tactics
  • Actively contribute to a strong culture of mutual respect across sales and marketing teams
  • Bring ideas together from creative, product marketing, marketing operations, web engineering, field marketing, and growth sales teams
  • Handle capacity planning to ensure the team is staffed up to meet the company’s growth objectives.
  • Elevate Fastly’s profile as a modern marketing organization with an innovative approach to demand gen. Pursue external speaking opportunities and/or other thought leadership opportunities
  • Act as a thoughtful leader when participating in the evaluation of demand gen related marketing technology

  • You love working with sales reps and product marketers to brainstorm and then execute revenue generating marketing programs
  • You understand that the best marketing is in fact delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • You’d rather develop a deep understanding of our technical audience and their preferences than do the same type of marketing every other company does
  • Proficient in web analytics, conversion rate optimization, and SEO principles, tactics and tools
  • Proficient in automation methods such as chat bots, lead scoring, and email nurturing
  • Intermediate understanding of CRM, MAP, and multi-touch attribution
