About the Role

Calling creative marketing leaders: Mux is looking for a director of brand marketing. Your mission will be to combine developer insights, strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and collaboration with our in-house Design team to create a wide range of work that drives Mux's reputation for being the leading video infrastructure and a world-class tech brand. You will build and lead a team of interesting people that can conceptualize, plan, prototype, and launch new marketing projects from scratch.

What You’ll Do

  • Dream up new marketing campaigns and initiatives that will spread awareness of Mux’s technology and brand far and wide 
  • Drive the overall integrated campaign planning process and alignment with marketing leadership, channel owners and agencies (internal/external) to formalize GTM timeline, creative brief, strategies and tactics.
  • Conceptualize, Socialize, and Lead key brand campaigns end-to-end
  • Set goals and priorities across planned and unplanned initiatives and opportunities, partnering closely with internal and external creative and production teams to bring this work to life
  • Demonstrate exceptional creative and design sensibilities with passionate attention to detail
  • Hire, build out, and lead a multidisciplinary team of marketers, producers, and engineers who work together with our in-house design org to create exceptional marketing

Who You Are

  • An exceptional marketer and storyteller, with strong creative sensibility and deep experience with content marketing
  • You’re unafraid of loose borders, wide spectrums, and the sky as a limit. You think in terms of analogies, turning any complex technical concept into a vision of a relationship you can retell in a story that captivates many. 
  • Background in brand and creative marketing, preferably with a developer-favorite company
  • Strong understanding of media mix; experience across multiple marketing channels and mediums, e.g. digital advertising, search, PR, social media, email, etc.
  • 6+ years of tech marketing experience, 2+ of which have been managing or leading marketing teams with a preference for brand and creative leadership
  • Ability to get the best out of creative partners (copywriters, designers, editors)
