It is now one of the largest online learning platforms in the world, with 82 million registered learners as of March 31, 2021. Coursera partners with over 200 leading university and industry partners to offer a broad catalog of content and credentials, including Guided Projects, courses, Specializations, certificates, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on expanding the reach of Coursera’s brand and bringing new learners to the site, connecting students to degree programs, attracting new enterprise customers — including businesses, governments, and campuses — and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives. 

Coursera’s Product Marketing team connects consumers, educators and enterprises with our world-class learning products, content and solutions. Product Marketers play a key role in finding product-market fit, bringing products to market and driving adoption. As head of Product Marketing for our Consumer and Growth products, you’ll play an integral role in shaping the future of learning experiences for consumers globally. You’ll work with product teams spanning Courses, Specializations, Certificates, Degrees, and Coursera Plus in support of Coursera’s growth and revenue goals. And help create lifelong relationships with learners in our community. To be successful in the role, you will need to have product intuition, bold thinking, expert communications, and strong leadership.

Responsibilities:

    • Create and activate core insights about learners globally to help shape our product strategy and strengthen product market fit
    • Develop and own consumer segmentation, while defining target audiences across products
    • Track competitor and market landscape to drive market insights
    • Inform our consumer narrative, partnering closely with Brand and Communications teams
    • Drive the go-to-market strategy and execution of high impact product launches
    • Partner closely with product team leaders, including Product Managers, Product Designers, Data Scientists, User Researchers and Engineers

Basic Qualifications:

    • 12+ years of experience, 8+ years in product marketing
    • Experience developing and scaling innovative consumer products
    • Background in leveraging data and consumer insights to develop strategy
    • Demonstrated history of leading cross functional initiatives with high complexity
    • Experience communicating with and influencing senior executives
    • Demonstrated history of building and leading high performing marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications:

    • MBA preferred
    • Experience working with global products and audiences
    • Experience or passion for the future of learning and future of work
