What you’ll do:

As a senior growth leader you will grow ClassDojo to our next milestone: reaching 10 million+ teachers and 100 million+ active families, while deepening our brand love. 

You’ll be responsible for our end-to-end teacher and school leader marketing funnel - from acquisition to activation, engagement to driving referrals. You’ll develop the team’s understanding of ClassDojo's growth model and identify opportunities to drive impact. You’ll work closely with data scientists, product managers, engineers to build new marketing and product growth channels and optimize the existing ones. You’ll be very hands-on in every aspect of growth marketing, from setting vision and strategy through to the details of execution on a cross-functional team.

You’ll also build and coach the teacher growth marketing team, supporting them in turning behavioral data and customer insights to growth strategies and tactics that will scale our user base to 10+ million active teachers. You’ll ensure we learn fast by identifying high ROI marketing and in-product tactics and rapidly testing them in the market. 

 

What you'll bring:

  • Growth Leadership: You have 8+ years of experience building and executing successful growth strategies that drove significant user and revenue growth in previous jobs. You know how to think about users' entire lifecycle and easily identify where to focus your efforts. You understand that managing users' lifecycle doesn't end with marketing channels and crosses across all customer touch-points, including product experience, community management and customer support. You know how to connect all the dots to create high-quality customer journeys that drive growth. You have a strong understanding of growth models, strategies, and tactics. You know how to build compounding growth loops that fuel acquisition, activation, engagement, and virality. International growth experience is a big plus 
  • Channel Expertise: You're an expert in at least two or more of the following channels/tactics: community-driven growth, content marketing, SEO, referrals, email marketing 
  • Analytical Skills: You have strong quantitative skills, and create and refine hypotheses by exploring user data. You’re excited to iteratively improve metrics and you can write your own SQL to explore data and run opportunity sizing calculations.
  • Experimentation Experience: You know how to go through hypothesize, build, launch, analyze, and iterate loop at a fast-pace
  • Structured Problem Solving Skills: You know how to work your way through complex problems. You can easily break a problem down into components, ask the right questions, and build a robust framework around the problem before diving into the solutions
  • Intellectual Curiosity: You are highly curious about start-ups, growth, marketing, and technology. You continuously try to improve your knowledge and your craft. You always dig deeper and ask great questions to learn more about our users, our business, and our products
  • Player-coach Skills: You’re a strong coach for your people. You have experience hiring, managing and leading groups of highly-talented growth marketers
  • Excellent written + verbal communication skills. You can clearly articulate complex information to leadership and cross-functional partners on product/engineering teams
