Head of Curriculum Marketing

Our Growth Mindset (The Mission): Think back on your time in school and a project or experience that got you fired up, curious, and motivated to try your best.  Can you remember one? If you’re like us, there are some projects we remember decades later -- those times when we were so engaged in what we were doing that we couldn’t help but learn.

Seesaw is a learning platform that brings educators, students, and families together to deepen student learning. Teachers design and facilitate powerful learning experiences, students create, reflect, collaborate and make their learning visible, and families actively support and celebrate student learning. Seesaw is used by millions of K-12 students in over 75% of the schools in the U.S.

The Curriculum (Your Role): Seesaw is looking for an experienced cross-functional leader to drive the growth of our new curriculum business, Seesaw Lessons. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow the teams responsible for the success of Seesaw Lessons including sales, marketing implementation, and product. You will have ownership over Seesaw’s curriculum business - Seesaw Lessons - and be deeply motivated to drive its success.

Your Classmates (The Team): This role reports into the CRO and will be partnering incredibly closely with Seesaw’s Head of Content who leads the design and production of curriculum. In addition to building out the cross-functional team to support the business goals of Seesaw Lessons, you will be coordinating closely with Seesaw’s Customer Success and New Sales teams.

Subject Matter (Your Responsibilities):

    • Build a sales and marketing organization that focuses on curriculum, platform, and training together as the premier digital learning future. This includes hiring, onboarding, training, and developing success metrics for this team.
    • Build the curriculum sales muscle that Seesaw needs to succeed in the digital curriculum market, particularly building state and district level relationships with instructional leaders.
    • You bring deep, proven curriculum sales or marketing experience at the national, state, and district level to Seesaw and are able to influence and integrate that DNA cross-functionally throughout the organization.
    • Own the curriculum business strategy and execution including packaging and pricing, partnerships, go-to-market, and overall growth and performance of curriculum products.
    • Develop bottom-up marketing programs that generate excitement and demand from the community of teachers that have made Seesaw successful to date.
    • Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of Seesaw’s curriculum products.
    • Develop strategies for national and state conferences that leverages presenters, highlights Seesaw, and in tandem provide demand generation. Our curriculum business is young and needs your enthusiasm and expertise. However, this business is still unknown and will require you to be adaptable and willing to grow with the business.

Prerequisites (The Requirements):

    • 10+ years in a Curriculum Marketing Leadership, Product Strategy, or a GM role within the education space (EdTech experience a plus).
    • You’ve either created and driven a playbook marketing curriculum yourself at a previous organization or were heavily involved in the creation and execution of the curriculum marketing playbook.
    • Deep expertise and knowledge of selling into the national, state, and district levels of schools.
    • Ability to clearly communicate your viewpoint both verbally and written based on experience, data, and logic along with strong analytical skills.
    • Exceptional cross-functional collaborator with an ability to bring people along with your vision.
    • Anyone you’ve managed would say you are a dedicated, supportive, and motivational manager. You lead teams with empathy and strive to be a great teacher and coach to your team members.

Don't let the confidence gap get in the way of applying! We'd love to hear from you.
