Marketing at Crunchbase
The Crunchbase Marketing team is responsible for lifecycle, corporate, and growth marketing initiatives, including lead generation and monetization, crafting unique content, and driving engagement with our community users. The lifecycle marketing team is responsible for communication with our customers in email and on via in-product walkthroughs. Our goal is to drive engagement and growth for Crunchbase through innovative, impactful, and scalable marketing programs.

What You'll Do:

    • Lead personalization efforts & work closely with business partners and translate the vision and strategy into a marketing technology infrastructure that can support and drive that vision.
    • Harness technology for programmatic personalization at scale, utilizing APIs, machine-learning models, mobile insights, and behavioral data to improve customer relevancy and revenue impact
    • Develop and work on an A/B testing roadmap (layout, format, frequency, and copy) to improve email performance.
    • Experience with email automation, segmentation, HTML, and email marketing software platforms such as Iterable, Marketo, Braze, or Sailthru.
    • Manage email data maintenance, briefing, review, code/build, QA and deployment processes for all email and in-product campaigns.
    • Build monthly and quarterly reports that quantify the impact, identify trends, and encapsulate key initiatives, partnering with the analytics team on ad-hoc analysis and deep dives.
    • Select the right combination of targeting, optimization, nudges, promotions, upgraded CRM, and member segmentation, and other tools to help users join Crunchbase, stay engaged, and choose to renew
    • Communicate complex technical issues, solutions, processes, and plans effectively to both internal and external partners.
    • Act as owner, administrator, and evangelize for key tools for our devices and services MarTech stack

What We're Looking For:

    • Experience in email or performance marketing with an emphasis on personalization and experimentation, with the ability to learn new technologies, products, or systems quickly
    • Mastery of HTML and CSS
    • Extensive experience with responsive email coding and best practices
    • Knowledge of email marketing standard methodologies, email deliverability, and CAN-SPAM
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and meeting timelines with minimal oversight
    • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills with an outstanding eye for detail
    • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and represent our team with integrity and self-sufficiency
    • Tech or SaaS experience preferred, ideally in a multi-funnel or multi-vertical business model
