In this role, you’ll be leading our SEO efforts, ensuring that we’re maximizing opportunities, increasing organic traffic, and helping to bring a whole new audience to 1Password. You’ll work with development, content, and marketing leadership to drive best in class SEO practice within the organization. You should be able to efficiently analyze technical SEO issues, effectively prioritize insights and ideas, and confidently communicate strategic direction to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is strategic, creative, and data-oriented.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

    • 3-5 years of experience in technical SEO 
    • Solid understanding of SEO best practices, Google quality guidelines, and Up-to-date knowledge of ranking factors
    • Experience working with development team on how changes affect SEO performance (experience with CSS, HTML and JavaScript is a bonus)
    • Expert in using tools like Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Conductor, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, etc.
    • Ability to clearly articulates and delivers recommendations via best-in-class technical SEO
    • Understanding of page speed monitoring and optimization
    • Knowledge of A/B testing and best practices
    • Fundamental knowledge of digital marketing practices and processes
    • Prioritization Skills - attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task
    • Positive attitude, flexibility, and problem-solving mentality

What you can expect:

    • Perform site audits for each deploy and responsible for every marketing change that could impact SEO
    • Responsible for reviewing site structure and making technical SEO recommendations for improvements to underlying website code
    • Audit and monitor SEO crawling tools to identify optimization opportunities and provide recommendations, such as working on structure data, meta tags, and XML sitemap
    • Identifying short-term and long-term SEO strategies, including keyword list development, site architecture and content optimization
    • Perform keyword research and competitive analysis
    • Track and report on top keywords, monthly changes, and opportunities for growth
    • Track organic rankings and traffic to our core content by measuring keyword positions, search volume, and overall site visibility and rankings using Google Analytics and SEO tools
    • Regularly run A/B tests to ensure changes made for SEO positively impact traffic, revenue, and other KPIs.
    • Partner with content team and provide recommendations, guidance, and optimization for all content creation
    • Keep up-to-date on the latest key industry trends, Google algorithms and SEO best practices, strategies and technologies.
