We are building and powering the fastest growing $1B company in Silicon Valley and focused on running a scalable strategy and analytics team.  We are looking for an Analyst to build out our reporting capabilities and storytelling capabilities for the marketing organization. The Twilio team is building additional muscle to analyze and accelerate the velocity of our pipeline.  Focusing on our core sales-assisted and self-serve funnels, this person will fuel our continued growth by analyzing performance, adopting marketing science, measuring value, and recommending improvements across our marketing channels.  For anyone who wants to pursue a career learning about marketing efficiency and optimization, this is an excellent chance to learn alongside a team that knows their stuff.  The right candidate has a mix of technical skills, eye for business and analytical skills to identify and analyze ambiguous problems in a fast-paced environment. 


Twilio is looking for an analyst who lives the Twilio Magic and has demonstrated a track record of high performance within marketing analytics.  

  • You are viewed as a trusted advisor and have proved working cross-functionally with business partners across Demand Generation, Field Marketing, Sales, Content, Developer and Web Marketing
  • You are focused on efficiency and will partner within marketing and finance for return on investment metrics across multiple dimensions of spend (product, region, sales segments, and verticals).  Establishing performance marketing spend expectations and reporting on these results.
  • You maintain a steady pulse on our inbound and outbound  performance and provide insights based on conversions across each stage. Monitor the progress of go-to-market channels (Marketing, Sales, Partner, Outbound) and provide scalable strategies 
  • You have the ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; fluency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, BI reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) , Salesforce.  You possess the curiosity and potential to dive into statistical analysis for predictive modeling with our forecasts
  • Own the creation and maintenance of current and future dashboarding requests, while incorporating scalable processes with consistent and standardized views 
  • You will build a framework to partner with marketing, finance & data science to set growth targets, forecasts and measure value of our marketing investments.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between data analytics and business marketing. Uses context and experience to know the what, why and how of every piece of spend.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to shift directions quickly when priorities change
  • 1-2 years of experience with analytical thinking and has a knowledge of marketing strategies to drive pipeline

  • BE AN OWNER:  Translate the metrics and build a daily regimen to review trends.  Dive into the details and unveil efficiencies throughout our funnel to drive revenue growth.
  • BE BOLD:  Deliver insights that are executive-friendly and be proactive in sharing across our GTM and finance teams to inform investment decisions.
  • RUTHLESSLY PRIORITIZE: Focus on what matters but also  lead the  ad-hoc analytical efforts in an unstructured environment to identify key insights that can impact efficiency and scalability. 
  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER'S SHOES:  You have strong intellectual curiosity to partner with the business to understand needs, ratify against our priorities, and build trust with execution.
  • WRITE IT DOWN: You build documentation to empower partners to find their own answers and improve knowledge and understanding of our metrics. 
  • DRAW THE OWL: Be a builder.  Demonstrate marketing visualization tools (Tableau, SFDC) as well as develop programs (via SQL, Looker) to assess our current marketing motions and experiments for effectiveness.  Work with data science, cross-functional analytics, as well as analytics vendors to define requirements for machine learning models that open our lens to more efficient marketing spend.
