Our Publishing division creates engaging consumer-focused sites that offer content experiences for a variety of audiences, using leading data science capabilities to provide users with the most relevant content in real-time. We frequently experiment and test new opportunities to continue adapting to consumer demand and market changes. 

As a Lead Gen Media Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying audiences and generating new leads for campaign targeting in the insurance & personal finance vertical, as well as executing on high-volume media buys across Paid Social & Native networks. You’ll collaborate with a small team of marketers to develop strategy execution, and partner with engineering, analytics, and product stakeholders to continuously improve consumer funnels on the site.

The Role You Will Have:

    • Join a nuclear team within our media buying structure and take ownership of the lead gen/demand gen strategy for a consumer site
    • Manage high-volume direct-response ad buys on Facebook/Instagram Ads and Native networks like Taboola/Outbrain - and explore newer platforms like TikTok and Snap
    • Optimize large budgets and targeted ad creative with the goal of attracting new users at scale and decreasing CPA
    • Rely on first-party data to continuously adapt campaigns to marketplace changes and developments
    • Test new ideas and strategies on a regular basis, and collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to achieve business goals
    • Communicate challenges and engineer solutions with experimentation and thorough testing

What You Will Bring:

    • Experience managing in-house direct-response marketing campaigns on Paid Social, Native and/or Display ad networks, especially in the personal finance and/or insurance verticals
    • A strong understanding of creative lead gen strategies and experience with demand generation campaigns
    • Experience working with first-party data sources for optimization and testing, using Excel to visualize performance data
    • Familiarity with buy-side KPIs like CPA and ROAS
    • An entrepreneurial mind motivated by discovering the unknown
