Job Description

The Role:

As part of the Product Marketing Team, the Marketing Manager will focus on Medable’s  offerings and work closely with product management, sales, and the leadership team to lead go to market strategies, including positioning, messaging, development of sales/partner/customer enablement materials, and lead generation.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, eager to roll up their sleeves, and is passionate about the technology and life sciences space.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides marketing support to the sales team in researching prospects and generating and customizing collateral and presenting at customer meetings

  • Develops go-to-market plans for each launch including positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials, internal and external communication materials, promotional activities, and other deliverables, as appropriate 

  • Engages in market often so that you are at the pulse of customer needs and how our evolving offering needs to be shaped to meet those needs

  • Researches and report competitor capabilities and initiatives

  • Collaborates with product teams to appropriate product roadmap and position and bring to market new capabilities

  • Conceives and create thought leadership and educational content to broaden the awareness and understanding of our product

  • Creates customer personas which will serve as inspiration and guides for marketing initiatives

  • Initiates, manages, and optimizes lead-gen activities including trade conferences, webcasts, email marketing, and SEM

  • Generates customer success case studies through customer interviews and metrics from the platform

  • Manages to an agreed schedule of deliverables and within agreed budgets.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in the development, marketing and/or sales of enterprise software - especially hosted, web-based software 

  • Experience organizing and pushing a program forward, identifying a clear path for all parties, and keeping the group on time and on goal.

  • Independent thinking, with experience in managing multiple complex projects and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Deep analytical rigor with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications and actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and to evolve product strategy based on research, data, legal/business needs, industry trends, and technology landscape.

  • Ability to craft a communications strategy and narrative, and present clearly and compellingly to executive stakeholders.

  • Excellent writing and editorial skills and proven content creation experience

  • “Roll up your sleeves” attitude and a true team player with great communication skills.

  • Experience in designing and executing marketing and communications programs

  • 5+ years experience in a related role, preferably at a B2B SaaS or Life Sciences company

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Sciences or Life Sciences, or equivalent experience;

  • Master's degree or MBA a plus
