Bounteous is looking for a Senior Media Operations Director. This role is a digital team leader, typically assigned to one large strategic account or several mid-scale/core clients. Primarily responsible for development of a team of 30+ subject matter experts and for overarching monitoring of Bounteous media portfolio. This role will develop and share operational media frameworks with internal stakeholders who will use these methods to steer program progress. Acts as: a digital media SME for internal stakeholders/client partners, as key point of contact for cross-functional disciplines within the Marketing Service practice (SEM, Paid Social, and Programmatic Media), and the liaison for cross-practice teams (Marketing Strategy, Technology Innovation, Creative Production, Client Services, etc.).  Client programs will include complex data-driven digital media campaigns and integrated multi-channel campaigns to successfully engage and influence consumers at each funnel stage. Contributes to Bounteous business development and product/business strategy. Typically manages direct team of 4-6 people and broader team of 30+ subject matter experts and campaign managers.  

Role and Responsibilties

    • Act as a Media thought leader and mentor to support the growth of established SEM, Paid Social, and Programmatic Media team members 
    • Requires excellent communication and diplomacy skills; demonstrated experience building teams 
    • Mastery of all Campaign Management and Planning & Optimization functional responsibilities 
    • Able to deliver against functional responsibilities in a strategic, mature, and self-guided manner, on high volume of accounts, larger scale client/Media programs 
    • Contribute to the development of forward-thinking strategies and campaigns designed for client growth; Deliver programs designed to achieve clients goals and increase Bounteous’ value as a Partner 
    • Develop a management and measurement framework to steer and monitor program progress and success 
    • Act as administrative owner of advertising technologies; Guide adtech partnerships and reseller programs while maintaining operating margins 
    • Responsible for business development updates and giving direction to the media services, platform, and capability resources as it pertains to prospective and active client work 
    • Confident, articulate, and strategic delivery of consultative messaging – both written and verbal – to senior leaders without senior leadership guidance 
    • Proactively devising and pushing new concepts to manage and grow the media practice; Includes working closely with Data, Innovation, Strategy, Production, and other Bounteous lines businesses 
    • Able to independently lead program, team, and clients, without senior leadership guidance on small and mid-scale clients 
    • Work closely with cross-practice leadership and Marketing Services peers to monitor resourcing of client projects 
    • Contribute to the strategic direction of Bounteous' media solutions offerings 
    • Carefully track and record billable time; Responsible for directing team toward meeting their billable objectives 
    • Act as point of escalation to resolve client pain point and realize account or industry opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

    • 10+ years experience within digital media agency function and/or digital media vendor/ad technology platform 
    • 5+ years experience independently managing media planning, buying, and/or trafficking teams 
    • Past proficiency within DSPs to run Video, Display, and other digital channels (Google’s DV360, Amazon DSP, TTD, MediaMath, Verizon) 
    • Past proficiency within Paid Social Platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok) 
    • Past proficiency within Search Engine Marketing Platforms & Bid Management Platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google’s SA360, Kenshoo, Marin) 
    • Proven track recoard with both Brand and Performance media strongly preferred 
    • Ecommerce/marketplace experience strongly preferred 
    • Search Engine Optimization experience strongly preferred 
    • Proficient user of digital ads trafficking tools (DCM, Media Ocean, etc.) 
    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint 
    • Proficiency in people management tools 
    • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems on-time and on-budget 
    • Experience presenting and/or public speaking 
    • Experience with marketing, behavior, and customer analytics 
    • Digital media strategy and plan development 
    • Resource and people management 
    • Cross discipline coordination and management 
    • Policy and best practices contributor
