About the role

The Marketing Strategy and Operations team works cross-functionally across all Revenue Marketing teams to own the Marketing foundations and oversee the governance of data management, marketing campaign processes, project management, planning, workflow management, market insights, competitive intelligence and reporting that keeps our marketing team moving quickly.

As a Senior Marketing Operations Manager, Performance & Analytics, you will be reporting to the Marketing Operations Lead and working with an amazing cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment where communication and collaboration are always instilled. We need you to be our subject matter expert for all performance data to understand the entire Sales & Marketing funnel. Your talents in predicting insights will shine in this position as high-quality results bring high payoff.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators as well as overall campaign results

  • Proactively identify challenges to campaign success and work with the agile team to find and implement solutions

  • Produce meaningful marketing dashboards and deliver monthly cross-channel performance reports with actionable insights in Salesforce, Bizible, Marketo

  • Offer proactive feedback, strategic insights and ideas for campaign improvement

  • Partner with our Data Science team to uncover data driven insights to support the development of marketing and sales strategies for segmented campaigns

  • Create and support the Marketing teams with data-driven insights.

  • Work closely with Data Science teams on funnel analysis and metrics

  • Create, run and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to help manage the business and identify trends and opportunities

  • Bring data informed insights to forecasting, capacity planning, productivity, costing, and budgeting

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for internal stakeholders

  • Run ad hoc analysis to understand full Sales & Marketing funnel and provide insight to optimization areas and growth opportunities

  • Collaborate with other functional departments on key company initiatives

  • Operationalize reporting and related processes to monitor and assess the success of the campaigns

Qualifications

  • The ability to thrive in chaos, to be comfortable with ambiguity and think quickly on your feet

  • Financial acumen to understand the financial results of campaigns

  • Proven experience working with and deriving insight from large data sets

  • You love tackling the most difficult challenges and know how to get to the best solution

  • Detail-oriented - nothing gets overlooked when it comes to you

  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful

  • Technically savvy: You embrace the opportunities to get into technology and you can learn it quickly

  • Strong skills with data manipulation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and Mode

  • Experience with Marketing Automation, CRMs, attribution and business intelligence platforms

  • Passion and an interest in Marketing, Sales and Business operations

  • Confident and proactive team player - cross-functional collaboration is critical

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with great attention to detail

  • A resourceful attitude and negotiation skills - you'll be working with a lot of different teams across Shopify and external partners

  • Compelling executive presence and stakeholder management abilities with senior cross functional leaders
