We are seeking an entrepreneurial senior manager of SEO who can help take the company’s SEO efforts to the next level. The role, reporting to the Director of Content and SEO, will help build the SEO strategy for the company in addition to identifying new ways to unlock increased rankings, search impressions, and clicks that drive organic traffic back to Udacity. 

This individual will also help implement SEO best practices to ensure content ranks in SERPs, assist with the link-building strategy to boost content in SERPs, monitor SEO rankings, and make recommendations to improve page performance from a technical and content perspective. 


  • Develop and implement Udacity’s SEO strategy
  • Maintain a back-linking campaign designed to drive top referring domains to Udacity
  • Conduct regular site and SEO audits to identify technical issues and establish a plan to fix those issues
  • Regularly perform thorough keyword research
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify keywords driving traffic to their websites and create a plan to target those keywords
  • Monitor content to identify pages that need on-page optimization and create a plan to fix issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare and present reports regularly
  • Create internal SEO training documents and training sessions for Udacity’s writers and content creators 
  • Suggest improvements in process and productivity optimization
  • Collaborate with web developers and marketing team
  • Well-versed in SEO and digital marketing trends and best practices

What we value:

  • 7+ years of experience as an SEO Manager or similar role 
  • 5+ years of experience in planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy
  • Demonstrated success in SEO 
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as BrightEdge, Ahrefs, Search Console, Google Analytics, and/or Amplitude
  • Entrepreneurial, critical thinker, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player and self-starter
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
