About the role:

The Social Media Manager is focused on cultivating and growing a vibrant community beyond the Dribbble platform on relevant social channels. You will create, share, and repurpose content that celebrates the creativity of our community and inspires others to want to be a part of it. You'll work closely with our different product lines to support and extend key initiatives and develop and own the social strategy and guidelines. You are forward thinking and will constantly be pushing us toward what is next. Your objectives are too deepen engagement and drive the growth of the Dribbble user base through new eyeballs and new traffic. To be successful you will need to love design, be a creator at heart, have a keen eye for emerging trends, be passionate about building community, and be entrepreneurial and resourceful.

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Develop and refine our social media strategy with a focus on growing engagement and driving greater discovery and traffic to the Dribbble community.
  • Establish a social media playbook defining our guidelines, channels, brand role, and content strategy.
  • Manage all creation and scheduling of content across all social channels including but not necessarily limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
  • Responsible for ongoing engagement across our channels, providing answers to questions and relaying insights and feedback to Dribbble stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with GTM manager to support and extend key marketing launches and initiatives.
  • Ongoing collaboration with product, blog, advertising, and education managers to integrate support for key initiatives in these focus areas.
  • Ongoing collaboration and coordination with the Paid Channel Manager on paid and organic social strategies.
  • In-source creative development and work with outsource contract resources as necessary, effectively briefing and ensuring content meets brand guidelines and serves business objectives.

We believe it’s important for you to have:

  • 3+ years managing and growing communities online.
  • Skilled in planning, operationalizing, and executing a strategic social media plan.
  • Proven ability to create and effectively manage a social media calendar.
  • Ability to apply the voice, tone, and personality of the Dribbble brand across social channels.
  • Ability to identify and create great content - image, video, and copy for social channels.
  • Strong proficiency in creative and social channel management tools.
  • A genuine interest in helping designers further their career ambitions.
  • Strong cross-collaboration skills and an ideas person who can think big and also execute.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of personal accountability.
  • Friendly and professional demeanour that comes across in your communications.
  • Experience in working with influencers to create unique and interesting social collaborations and activations.
  • Results orientated. You are driven to measure and quantify your successes.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects at once, prioritize, and manage communication across the organization.
  • Service orientated. You are prepared to engage with the community, spot opportunities to service the community, and are proactive in identifying and managing challenges.
  • Experience with the design community and/or design led brands is an asset.
