Sr. Director / VP of Strategic Growth

The Sr. Director / VP of Strategic Growth is an exceptionally talented individual who serves as a trusted advisor and confidant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of operations and strategy. This individual will work across functions, industries and geographies, launching new programs, and helping build global teams. Continuous improvement is important, so it is not enough to get the job done. Beyond delivering, it is important to look for ways to make the organization stronger and ensure that clients are even better served. This is a unique opportunity to see every aspect of a fast-growing unicorn at the CEO level.

This position can work from anywhere in the US, but requires willingness to work West Coast hours as needed. 

This role will have 3 main functions:

  • Engage in cross-functional development and execution of the company strategy
  • Research and incubate new initiatives
  • Serve as Chief of Staff to the CEO

Within those functions, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the CEO to maintain strategic alignment across the organization 
  • Incubate new initiatives to drive growth
  • Organizing agendas for executive staff meetings and planning sessions, attending meetings and driving agenda, and driving follow up on action items
  • Preparing Board of Director materials
  • Drafting key memos to internal/external stakeholders, including investor updates, company announcements, and press releases
  • Project managing new, key specific initiatives that otherwise lack an owner; transitioning projects to other members of the management team where applicable
  • Partnering with CFO to assist with organizational planning/budgeting
  • Serving as a proxy for CEO in operations not requiring his direct involvement
  • Protecting the CEO’s time in an effort to maximize allocation towards high leverage initiatives & matters


  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus but not required
  • 3+ years of consulting and/or corporate strategy experience
  • 3+ years of operating experience, ideally running a team within Operations, Product or Business Development or some combination thereof
  • Strategic mindset, but doesn’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves to deliver results, with extreme ownership mentality
  • Self starter - demonstrated ability to get things done from ideation to implementation with little input needed
  • Trustworthy - used to handling confidential information with a high degree of integrity
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Positive attitude and natural curiosity
  • Willingness to move at an uncomfortable pace
  • Strong emotional intelligence
  • Self-motivation undeterred by challenging feedback or criticism
