Sr. Performance Marketing Analyst

System1 specializes in paid traffic acquisition at scale using leading data science techniques, growing audiences for our publishing sites and search engines across the globe. We are looking for a Digital Ads Manager to influence display ad buying strategy and lead generation within our publishing division. Join our large online marketing organization that includes teams working on Native, Paid Social, Display, and Programmatic platforms and focused on growth and performance.

Our in-house ad buyers partner with data, software engineering and editorial teams to develop ads and deliver audiences to our sites with data-driven strategies, relying heavily on experimentation and testing. You will manage the creation and optimization of new display ad campaigns, reporting of campaign performance and growth opportunities, and strategy development for new audience acquisition. You will lead ad buyers in strategy execution and use industry KPIs to measure performance, optimizing for growth and profit generation.

Where We Are
System1 is based in Los Angeles, with our headquarters in Marina del Rey. We have additional offices in Seattle, and our Canadian headquarters in Guelph, Ontario. 

This role has the ability to work remotely in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

The Role You Will Have

    • Create and manage display advertising campaigns for our owned and operated sites using Industry tools like GDN, Google Ads, and Google Analytics
    • Optimize relevant drivers of performance to improve campaign success in a bidded marketplace
    • Write and edit compelling ad copy, as well as select and edit images to drive online engagement
    • Ideate new creative concepts and campaign strategies
    • Provide data-driven campaign performance reporting
    • Operate within a bidded marketing ecosystem, driving performance toward determined goals and KPIs (CPA, CPC, ROAS, etc.)
    • Communicate with internal stakeholders in product and marketing on campaign performance and roadblocks
    • Develop thoughtful A/B testing strategies to better align creative and performance strategies with campaign performance

What You Will Bring

    • Experience buying high-volume ads on Display, Native, Paid Social and/or Search platforms with large budgets
    • Experience with industry tools & ad networks (Marin, Kenshoo, Google Display Network, Facebook Ad Manager, Bing Ads, Outbrain, Taboola, DFP, etc.)
    • Ability to create engaging ad copy and image selection based on data and thorough testing
    • Experience optimizing for buy-side KPIs (CPC, CPA, ROAS, etc.)
    • Experience optimizing campaigns in a bidded marketplace
    • Working with complex datasets to understand performance and drive optimization strategies
    • Ability to manipulate and interpret data using Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, etc.)
