HeyMarketers (“we”, “us”) runs heymarketers.com, a marketplace that connects companies with marketing talent. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address and password, or your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo) if you sign in with Google.
• Profile information: anything you add to a marketer or company profile, such as your headline, skills, experience, rates, portfolio files, résumé and logo.
• Hiring activity: job posts, applications, messages, reviews and interview materials you create or receive through HeyMarketers.
• Job alert subscriptions: your email address, how often you want alerts and which kinds of jobs you want.
• Payment information: when you buy a paid product, our payment processor handles your card details. We receive only a record of the purchase, never your full card number.
• Usage information: pages you visit, links you click, device and browser details and approximate location, collected with cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

• To run the marketplace: show profiles and jobs, handle applications and connect companies with candidates.
• To send the emails you asked for, such as job alerts, account notices and messages from other users.
• To provide paid services, including candidate matching and recruiting.
• To keep HeyMarketers safe, prevent fraud and spam, and enforce our Terms.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see your information

Your profile is visible according to the visibility setting you choose: public, signed-in members only, or private. You can also hide your profile from specific companies, such as your current employer. When you apply to a job or are considered for a role, the hiring company can see the information you share with them.

Service providers

We share information with providers that help us run HeyMarketers, only as needed for them to provide their services. These include hosting and file storage (Vercel), our database (Neon), email delivery (PostShiba), product analytics (PostHog), sign-in (Google) and payments (Stripe). We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to measure how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but some features, such as signing in, won't work without them.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your profile information at any time from your account.
• Change or unsubscribe from job alerts using the links in any alert email.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing us.

Data retention and security

We keep your information while your account is active and as long as we need it to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no service is perfectly secure.

Children

HeyMarketers is for professionals and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we'll tell you by email or on the site before they take effect.
